John W. Mann
John practices business and commercial law focused primarily on the needs of the construction industry. John has significant litigation and transactional experience and is uniquely qualified to advise businesses on a wide range of matters before and after disputes arise.
John began his career at a general litigation firm in Salt Lake City. Since 2010, John has been an attorney at Fetzer Simonsen Booth & Jenkins. John has significant experience representing companies and individuals in construction litigation, commercial litigation and transactions, real estate matters, real property title disputes, business formation and compliance, and estate planning. During law school, John served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Robert D. Durham of the Oregon Supreme Court.
John is a graduate of the University of Oregon School of Law and the University of Utah. While at the University of Oregon School of Law, John served as an Associate Editor of the Oregon Review of International Law. John received The Orlando John and Marian H. Hollis Scholarship and Dean’s Scholarship.
PUBLICATIONS AND PRESENTATIONS
John was a research assistant and editor of Education Planning: Taxes, Trusts, and Techniques, written by Nancy E. Shurtz. John has presented seminars to licensed contractors related to mechanic’s liens and payment bonds.
HONORS AND RECOGNITIONS
John is the immediate past chairman of the Construction Law Section of the Utah State Bar. During law school, John received an award for his pro bono activities.
John was a presenter at the NBI Seminar "Construction Defect Litigation from A to Z."
